SHOT SHOW 2011 - Sabre Defence LSR 50 BMG

Are Sabre not out of the UK? Guy Savage right?
Only thing is it would need 5 round mags.

I don't like the price, but I have to say I'll need one of those!!!

A longer barrel would be good though. 24" for 50BMG isn't really good enough.

US export laws don't allow export of 50bmg anything

True, but then again Sabre Defence Industries out of the US won't export ANYTHING (not even parts) to us in Canada because of those same laws and whatever policies.

Regardless, they do have a British branch that is more than willing to deal with us (i.e, Wolverine Supplies).

looks really futuristic.

though that trigger looks iffy to me. i dont know what its called, i just call it 1911 style trigger.

i like my triggers separate from my gun (i.e.: USP, SIG, Beretta etc)

Ya you really have to understand the difference between a .50bmg that is semi auto with a 10 shot clip and a .50bmg that is a bolt action, obviously the treatment of them is a little different...

What the hell are you guys rambling about? The only way this thing would-be prohib is it is specifically named in an OIC, or deemed a variant (of what?) or a la type 97.

The barret m82 is named in OIC.

50 bmgs are not prohib because they're 50 bmgs, nor because they're semiauto. The US however, won't allow export of 50 BMG guns. Sabre defence does operate out of the UK as well. I'm saving my $$ and will be contacting wolverine as soon as I can get some accuracy and reliability reports.

from what i was told is that .50 BMG in bolt action is allowed but any semi auto 50 bmg will be prohibited please correct me if im wrong on this
You couldn't be more wrong.

.50 BMG is just a cartridge size. Canadian gun laws make no concern of what the gun shoots*, just how it shoots it.

*armor piercing and flechettes excluding.

Here on the Island, those would be the opposite of Restricted (whatever that is), since you would not be allowed to shoot one on the range (no one is templated for 50 BMG). You would be required to go in the bush to shoot. Gotta love those gun laws.

We can shoot them here in Bantario.

Is it a question of backstop or an anal CFO?
