INCORRECT!!! We have lots of time between now and the summer of 2012 to get rid of those stupid magazine restrictions. Now lets get at it, and stop talking about it.

WTF are you talking about? He's right - you're wrong. You want to have full capacity .22RF mags for the rifle? Then petition Stoeger Canada and ask them NOT to import the pistol. Situation solved.

As far as changing the mag rulings are concerned, good luck with that. Unless you're taking the RCMP to court it ain't gonna happen.

I've been waiting for this day for a very long time - and now we play the waiting game. Fingers crossed for a non restricted classification, it would be a bummer to see this go the way of the SCAR.

If the pistol version is not imported to Canada would the mags still be restricted to 10 rounds?

I suspect the answer would still be yes. I sure haven't seen any of the pistol versions of the Chiappa M4-22 or the S&W 15-22 being sold in Canada, yet those are the ones with the mag troubles. Hopefully they can use the SCAR or Black Dog mags

The TP9 is considered a rifle here in Canada but down south it's a pistol. The laws decided to allow us with 5 round mags only.

My point is, if they want to follow what the States are clasifying their guns they should do it for the 9mm AR's and TP9 etc and allow 10 round mags for those too.

If anything is to be imported, it will be imported directly from Italy.

I think there is a 50/50 chance that a semi-automatic version for the European market will be annouced or talked about at IWA by Beretta of Italy.
