SHOT SHOW 2013: Master Piece Arms MPAR

Congrats to Blueline and MPA, I am looking forward towards the good news.
I am glad Phil listened :)

Make sure they put a shell deflector on the production model.

The plot thickens... check out the comments in Forgotten Weapons' post about the Leader Dynamics T2 Mk5 - The designer, St George, hints at a 'new' rifle, back in 2011, to be introduced in the US in 2012... http://www.forgottenweapons.com/leader-dynamics-t2-mkv-video/ (comment is about halfway down the page)

Also, as a bonus, Forgotten Weapons demonstrates how to disassemble the T2 and shows off the BCG and op-rod system. Pretty cool, and it looks like the rifle was designed to be super simple to manufacture, which probably helps keep the price point low. I'm getting more and more interested in the MPAR!

I am planning to re introduce the Leader T2 next year and it will be manufactured in the US with a very attractive Price. Thos interested, please feel free to comment.

Thanks all for your interest.

Why would it need non-AR15 trigger parts for the Canadian market?

My guess is that Blueline is tired of getting F'd in the A in regards to classification. The GSG-5 is still an open wound in many cases. Having as few interchangable internal parts as possible removes as much legal grounds possible for a restricted classification. Purely speculation of course but makes sence to me.

Cool rifle, looks like fun. Can't wait to try one out :D.

I hope we can encourage new products into the country.:dancingbanana:

Nice combinations of inspirations on this. Triangular bolt, left hand cocking and a gas piston.:D
Nice to hear that it feels light. Like me, it kind of photographs as chunky.
Noting novel features is ok, but I would hesitate to speculate on lineage though.

Last thing I want is some aparatchik who's been through depot, to be given poor conclusions to base his decision on an frt because his stetson is two sizes too small.
:runaway:

Under $1500.00, NR, all metal with a top rail it's a no-brainer - I'll buy one for sure (probably sell off an AR as well...)
Does it have a free floated fore end?

Once it has an FRT number couldn't you reduce costs by having them switch back to AR trigger parts?

The more choice the better (free market and all) for the consumer.
Although personally that is a rather bulky forend for my tastes. I am curious how it balances weight-wise. Us with non-gargantuan hands are a finnicky bunch.
