An all weather, straight gripped 16” barreled .44 Mag Marlin 1894 and a 16” Marlin 39. I’d also like a NR .44 Mag semi-auto that takes pistol mags.

Shot Show wish list: see if the Canadian compliant SCAR 16/17 is even still a thing. Check if the SCAR 20 is coming to Canada. Maybe a CMMG Banshee in 7.62x39 so we can have AK style pistol mags. Sig Sauer Rattler maybe. Shake Black Creek Labs down for some new info on the Badger maybe. Ask around if some of the multitude of US built and sourced AKs could be changed enough to slip past the RCMP.

RE: not!AKs; I think this could be worth a try (hey maybe DNO is at SHOT??), in light of recent NOTAN-AR! AR’s that have come out... assuming that RCMP pays any mind to precedent (ie the receiver is 100% different, but takes 100% of the parts of the named firearm). Not that they ever do of course.

Please tell me you’re starting with the .45. I love 9mm PCCs as much as the next guy, but it’s really time for a new NR .45 ACP and I’m finding it difficult to muster the effort to NR a USC, but the fight lite would certainly scratch the itch.
