Shot Show Report: Magpul Masada

I'm not sure why they would choose the name "Masada" to represent their new rifle.

Being that Masada is a site best known for a military defeat that resulted in a mass suicide, it hardly inspires confidence in that product.

Kinda like when

Chevy named a car NOVA and wondered why it didn't sell in Europe...LOL

Latin NOVA (NO-GO)

hmm perhaps they hope it will be the Isreali weapon of choice when the entire middle east invades them?

From Magpul :
Lesson of the Masada...
It is better to die than to live as slaves.

If it uses an AR-type trigger assembly it will be restricted.
Do us all a favor and stick to topics you are a little more informed on. Like drooling in the corner.

Any way, I don't think you guys understand how irate I am with Magpul. They pretty much stole all the key feature of my rifle and out it into theirs! At least mine was going to be aluminum.

Don't you hate when industrial spy fairies come when your sleeping and read your mind at night to steal those ideas?:runaway:
I suggest you don't sleep until you've finished your project and all has come to fruition.:)

How about you do us all a favour and continue working on your bubba-smithing skills and finish up your super-tacticle SKS/AK snipa:

Lot of talk for someone that doesn't even own an AR, just a molded plastic imitation.

Personal attack mode off, thread resumes peacefully.

this is gonna get entertaining...

I'm gonna get a kick out of Armed and Koalorka squaring off... lemme grab some refreshments real quick here...

Oh, I've got $5 on Armed...don't let me down, Bryce.

great, another 5.56 gun that tries to fix an imaginary problem. if it's non-restricted, that's another matter, i'll take one.

I got 2$ on armedsask. He's gotta be tough, after wrestling and ####ing all those hutterite butches

Owning an AR15 has nothing what so every to do with this. Also, the firearms I've built also have nothing what so ever to do with this. My general knowledge of the classification of firearms does.

Trigger group is not a single deciding factor of a firearms classification (unless its select-fire).

Anyone wanna tell me what a forward assist is, while we're at it? And what is forward ejection? Why do I care that this gun has it?

I just don't understand why this gun is so great, apart from the fact it looks hot. Please educate me.

No, the lesson learned from Masada is, "Let's kill ourselves before we lose"... Not exactly the description I would want from a supposedly "sh*t hot new gun".

Sorry, it does not induce confidence in the product.

If that's what they were looking for, they should have called it the Camaron, or something.
