It doesn't hurt that the rifle has some really neat features.

Anyone wanna tell me what a forward assist is, while we're at it? And what is forward ejection? Why do I care that this gun has it?

I just don't understand why this gun is so great, apart from the fact it looks hot. Please educate me.

A 'forward assist' is just basically a mechanical connection between the cocking handle and the bolt carrier (either homogenous or separate a la AR15) to assist in chambering a recalcitrant round.

'Forward ejection' would be a good thing for lefties, so they don't eat cases being ejected to the rear.
