SHOT SHOW UPDATE#1: BOBERG ARMS coming to Canada!!!

SO pumped for this, is that picture the canadian model? Or how much more does the canuck model poke out?

the hk p7 will loose its spot as smallest restricted pistol in canada.

the boberg xr9 is considered a pocket pistol

The smallets 9mm not the smallest take a tiny 22lr put a longer barrel on it tada an even smaller firearm by allot.

I will buy one if the barrel doesnt extend past the end of the slide or have a dorky cover. If the slide gives me the best sight radius it can, that is, the gun is like the picture above, I am IN!

*Edit*

Just looked it up on the Boberg website. Wanstalls has posted the picture of the 4.2" barreled gun in post #1.

Here is a copy and past from the website that goes with that pic.

$1000 in the US retail not including the traditional canadian service fee.

Yeh, when I first saw the picture of this little beauty, I had the quick "do want" reaction. Then I checked the gunbroker price - in and around $1000. Then I checked the reviews (s model).... sounds like it has a few issues. I think I'll pass.

I think the review you are talking about may be a youtube video where the reviewer talks about using ammunition expressly mentioned in the owners manual as walmart promo ammo that doesn't work well with the design.
What happens with the Boberg design is that upon firing and ejecting, the fresh cartidge is pulled backwards.Sometimes if the ammunition is of poor quality, the case will be pulled rearward and the bullet stays put.Don't use the ammo mentioned in the manual and you won't have a problem.
Since we have you covered and Arne Boberg has us covered, you can buy with confidence.

Pricing: they go for $1000-$1400 depending on model and finish in the US. Most export companies in the US charge anywhere from 8-15%. So while we are not yet firm enough to set the price, this will give you a ballpark.
