Shot the Cooper 260

One thing that really stands out, is the thought that goes into the throating of Cooper rifles. In most cases, I can seat bullets to the lands, and the cartridges still fit the magazine. I find that a great asset in achieving great accuracy. Sako and Tikka could learn a lot from Cooper in that respect.

They all could, not just the Finns. Either throat it properly or give it freebore IMO.

My Sako chambered in the 260 can reach the lands and have the cartridges still fit in the magazine. If I'm not mistaken I was able to achieve that with my 270 WSM and 7mm-08 as well...

In my Sako 223 with a 1 in 8" twist, it's not possible with bullets heavier than 50gr. If I didn't want to shoot heavier bullets, I wouldn't have purchased a gun with a 1 in 8" rate of twist. We had the same issue with a friends Sako in 260rem, as well as with two Tikka T-3 rifles.

My Sako is the 75 model and I have no problem reaching the lands and my other two were the 75 models as well...

I'm with Stubblejumper. With my Tikka Varmint in 260 I can't get anywhere near the lands with anything heavy and still fit the mag, I believe my oal was 3.14 with the 140 vld's, before touching the lands, mag will only accommodate 2.84. I find it laughable, let me know if you're interested in buying it as I haven't shot it yet, not sure it's worth my time.
