Looking for good / bad reviews on the CED 7000 T, CED 8000 and Pact Club Timer 111. Other than these 3 timers, does anyone recommend any other timers. Thanks.

I am a pocket pro II fan... 9V battery, decent clip, and if you clip it to your belt/pants its easy to look down and read the screen. My favorite for running drills on my own.

Yup, Pocket Pro is what I'd pick. Other option is Pact MK IV, more usable for training if you are going to use the features, if not go Pocket Pro II

I have the Pact Club Timer 3 and it is the best timer I have ever had. Traded it for my Shotmaxx. I also have the crappy RU Ready one. I have compared it to the Pocket Pro II and I like the Pact Club Timer 3 much better. Screen much easier to quickly read and has all the info on there just like the Pocket Pro II.

I'm not a fan of RU Ready timers either.
Was looking at the Pact timers when a great deal came up on a CED 7000 in the EE.
Jumped on that and been happy with it since.

RU ready may be crappy as far as features go, but for the bare minimum of measuring time and setting par times, they run for years of abuse without a hiccup.
Thats what i run and no complaints, just so you know, its massive, its simple, it lacks features, its robust.

We have had bad experiences with them. Improper times like .5 draws when there's no chance they were that fast. Also sent mine in twice for repair both for same reason, digits partially missing lines. They are used everywhere though so this isn't scientific data and possibly we just had some lemons.

I have a couple RU's sitting on my work bench waiting to have bits re attached/soldered back into place on the circuit board...

Pact timers are a good choice. You can have a chronograph built in with the sky screens you mount on a stand down range. They may cost more today because of the exchange rate.
The people at Pact are very helpful.

+1, mine is as old as dirt, been dropped more times than I can count and in everything from mud, snow and water, still runs like a top, they dont call them the "brick" for nothing, if it died tomorrow Id buy another in a heartbeat.

Exactly my thoughts, mine has seen rain, snow, left in sun, dropped on concrete more than once...
I guess if others have had problems they may be hit or miss on quality.
In the ottawa section its the timer that's ran the most i would think

I've killed two shotmaxx timers - one in the bathtub after a long day at black badge - and the other in the hot tub. Did I mention they are comfortable. Shotmaxx II should be released in the next week or two. Will order it as soon as available!
