Lucked into a sweet find, two 5lb cans of powder and a thou of hulls and wads. No press dammit. is there any way I could hand load without a press? Was thinking that I could cast slugs for them.:shotgun:

you might look for a lee loader setup, no longer made but sometimes found used.

somewhere around 1/2 way through the batch, you will probably wish you had a press ;)

For that amount of reloading you'd have to do to use everything up I'd look at something like the LEE 12G LOAD-ALL II. if you don't want to spend that much money.

I have a Vintage Lee Loader in 10 and 12 Gauge bought a long time ago but I don't reload shotshells that much. Wish I had bought one in .410 when I had the chance.

I used this method just to prove to myself that it worked, and it did.

I actually still use it to reload my .410 since I shoot so few; no where near enough to validate buying a MEC 600 jr. which is I think the cheapest .410 reloader. Just remember that it doesn't resize the metallic base so it might not want to chamber in a shotgun with a slightly smaller chamber. I also don't cut off the crimp and use hot glue instead of white glue or water glass.

Personally I would just get a Lee Load-All 2 as mentioned above if you want to load more than 10-15 a month. You can get them new for $50-60 and second hand for $30-40.
