Looking for a semi auto shotgun 12 gauge

For waterfowl mainly I’d love to buy it used so something older then this year recommendations anyone and maybe a reason why. Price range sub 1000$

Don’t really care if it shoots 3 1/2” but needs to take 3” and removable chokes for steel shot

Thanks for your help cgn

The Baikal is a work horse but is heaver. The Win sx4 is 999 at Cabelas and 900 at our local CT. Some good Mossberg 930 in EE for under $500. A used weatherby SA-8 is also in the same price range.

An older beretta 300/301/302/303 gas guns were great. Some have chokes. I use a factory fixed mod in my a303. Works great with steel and they can be found for around the 6 to 700 range

For $1000 you can get a very good shotgun. My personal preference has always been Remington. I hunt with the 11-87 3" chambered baby. Prior to that I started with the Express, then second purchase was the Wingmaster...then this 11-87. Have fun choosing and and have more fun shooting!!

the winchester sx2,3,4 are all awesome guns. I don't think you can go wrong with either. I would pick one over a pump any day for shooting magnum loads. Your shoulder will thank you.

Benelli has had some sketchy customer service with many of their new guns shooting low and no help from the maker.I'd avoid no available parts guns like anything made in Turkey/Baikal.
