Hello!
I'm in the process of equipping my 870 shotgun with a good "tactical" light.
I want something that doesn't weight half the gun weight, that is powerful and easily swapped from one firearm to the other.
I do not need laser illumination.
What are my best options?

depends on the use...if outdoors, be aware that the beam patern on the X200B might be to broad. You may prefer the X200A.

X200 - maybe not half the weight but more than half the price :D :D

Stream light TLR-1, half the price of the surefire x200 and just as good if not better.

Heresy. I'll not have you plaguing his mind with foolishness of a lower-priced light being better than my SureFire! NEVER! IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MANY I BUY THEN SELL LATER ON, I LOVE SUREFIRE! YOU'LL NEVER TAKE THEM AWAY FROM ME!

(Acutally, the TLR-1's are really looking like a nice low-cost alternative to SureFire. SureFire has pretty much dominated the weapon-light market, and the TLR-1 is definately a step ahead of the Streamlight M3 lights in terms of construction [TLR-1 is aluminum, M3 is plastic] and light output. I would certainly recommend them for the average shooter. I mean, how often do you actually use the light? If you're not kicking doors, you certainly don't need the over-the-top quality that SureFire is offering, especially when it comes along with the over-the-top pricetag.)
