I take it that you posted this in jest. Baikal is a decent economy gun however the ones offered in North America are not even close to the quality found in the aforementioned "B" guns.

Depending which Baikal we are talking about, the ones made in the peak of Soviet times (60-70s) where made for serious competitions, for example IJ-12 and IJ-25 which had won world championships 4 times, they are pretty rare now and go for 500-600US$ on auctions in US. They were also much better made, both for look and feel. I have one which i picked up recently from EE, not a collector condition though.
BTW, reliability wise not sure that Baikal has less to offer than the other 3 brands even nowadays...

The Baikal IJ-12 from the early 80's I have is the most reliable scattergun I have owned, points amazingly well, and is built light but very very rugged. No plastic crap in those older guns. It may have cost less than a flat of shells, but it's value is high. As for the same model in 410 that is about 10 years old, it may look similar but it is a POS, but it does go bang....

It was given to me as a Christmas gift in 1983.

One Mossberg 500 JIC which was my first shotgun ever and I still own it.

One DA 12.5" Mag fed shotgun, which I sold because I never shot it.

One Kel Tec KSG which I own and love because it's awesome and I don't have any gremlins in mine.
