shotgun carry ideas

you hold onto it as you are walking. It's really very comfortable and natural, and it's ready at all times. It's more of an assisted carry than just slinging it over your shoulder.

Yes, I went for the "universal loop adaptor", which I have used on my fabarm, 10/22, hp9-1, and 870MM with happy happy results. This loop adaptor also fits onto my anaconda breachers sling. All made my blue force gear.

I was wondering about muzzle control..with a single point would the gun just kind of dangle around...?

As Nine said you can hold onto it. If you have a Fabarm you can get the new single point sling plates :D

The other option is a two point sling. (Vickers ;) )

I just picked up a "safari sling" to try on my rifle. It works great on a rifle, superfast shouldering with no need to unsling. I'll be using them on my hunting rifles this year.

The rifle is carried in front of your chest and leaves both hands free. I'm very impressed with it. I haven't tested it yet with a backpack but they claim it works great. I can see no reason why it wouldn't.

Depending on the location of the sling swivel studs on a shotgun it could work well with them too. It would need the rear swivel in the traditional rifle location such as are found on 870 factory stocks, and the front swivel would need to be far enough forward to keep the sling clear of the fore-end when cycling.

One more silly question...

I'm having trouble finding the same shoulder pack...:(

We've used those with great success - but it's still a sling - if you're just walking around the gun may tend to slide around a bit. Good for hunting tho, and you can still shoulder it like any other sling of course.

You might want to go with something like this - a regular sling (or use their 'backpack accessory) and a rifle holster. I've used this a bit and i'm quite impressed with both the comfort and the 'speed' of bringing it into play. The sling can sit a little loose - so it's very fast off the shoulder.

I use it front carry for most hunting, back carry for when i'm just walking around and might need a gun. simple, but it works better than you'd think.
