I'm thinking of picking up a shotgun chest rig like the Invictus Practical Deturk vest sold by Wolverine:

These seem like a good solution for shotgun heavy stages (I already have 2 x 8 round DAA caddies on my belt so I'm running out of real estate there) but when I read reviews they often say that the moves / rotates around the body when extracting the rounds which isn't ideal.

Does anyone use a setup like this? Is the rotation / movement an issue?

How many rounds should I factor in for a typical 3 gun match (I know that question is kinda open ended but I'm curious what is typical as I am setup for 25 rounds max right now - 2 x 8 round caddies & 9 in the gun)?

I'm running the 32 round version of the vest as my only method to carry shotshells for 3 gun. I've never had it rotate on me unless I wanted it to. For example, on a stage where I have to use the rifle while prone, I'll spin the vest around to my back so I don't leave all the shells on the ground when I get up. The caddy also came with some friction foam/tape to put on the back to keep from sliding but I haven't needed it yet. CHAS has some heavy shotgun only stages but the 32 round vest (plus the loaded magazine, plus a couple in the pocket for good measure) has always been enough

If the DTV is moving around or rotating just tighten it up more and stick the included rubber to the back for more friction.

I've got one set up for 18 in twins and it works very well.

A couple of the clubs in our league end up with shotgun-only match stages due to range layout. When you're looking at 30+ rounds as a minimum, you really appreciate a chest rig. Obviously, most stages don't need that many and a full gun and 10 on my belt are usually enough.
