Unless the aftermarket chokes are custom made for the firearm I doubt if they are an actual improvement over the chokes that come with the firearm. For the most part it is the luck of the draw if the chokes actually pattern the way they are marked.

To be honest, the only factory chokes that I was really disappointed in, were the DS chokes in my Browning shotguns The patterns were much more open than they were designated, and the patterns were not nearly as even as the Briley chokes that I replaced them with.
