Amen. Pistol grip stocks are for posing, not for practical shooting. They'd be a disadvantage in a real gunfight. They aren't good for anything except assaulting empty beverage cans in a gravel pit. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

On the pro-side - there is entertainment value watching the vids of these morons breaking their faces and nutting themselves.

Well I had the barrel fall off thing happen. Was pretty scary. I figure I must have put the end cap on incorrectly as I've used it tons since getting a new one and have had no problems.

I also hit myself in the nose with a pistol gripped shotgun as well. That was stupid. I have a little scar on my nose but I am happy it didn't hit lower as that wouldn't have been good for my braces/teeth.

I just can't see how such a failure is even mechanically possible without being staged using a gun that was made to do that. There's a HUGE piece of metal that sticks up from the bolt and into the barrel, the plug at the end of the mag is basically just extra insurance AFAIK.

If anyone wants to add other vids we could make this thread keep going?? the official "shotgun fail thread" ?
