shotgun for beginner

Mossberg Maverick 88 ... 28 inch barrel, shoots 3 inch shells ... had one for a million yrs now and it's always functioned and I have put it thru hell and back up here shooting tons of geese! ;)

I would recommend the Mossberg 535.

More importantly I would recommend taking a couple hours and read through this forum. Lots of info here with first hand experience. Good luck in your choice and hunting!
