Shotgun forearm metal or plastic I chose metal

Well picked up a 12.5" 12 gauge pump chopped the stock down a bit but also wanted the option to mount a light if needed. Did a bunch of reading and decided I was not worried about the extra wieght and ordered a metal forearm. I did crack my 20mm plastic handguards on my CAR-15 so decided as this pump is going to get some rough handling to just install a metal forearm.

What have you guys found?

Well, I have yet to break a synthetic forehand on a shotgun... and seeing how you'll most likely have to "fit" it... This should be an interesting project.

I broke the 20mm rail on my plastic handguard when my CAR15 fell sideways and hit the desk with the flashlight mounted.

Don't mind doing bit of fitting as I dislike sloppy fits of accessories.
