Hi guys,
I have a friend who wants to sell a Squires Bingham model 30DG shotgun.
Problem is i have never even heard of one of these guns, and the search brings back nothing. So does anyone have any clue as to the value of one of these shotguns?:)

Squires Bingham firearms are low end. Not junk, but low end. Few, if any, parts are available here.
Gunparts wants $52.45US for a used 18.5" cylinder choked barrel. The whole shotgun isn't worth much more than that.

i owned one of these guns and i would say the action is one of the smoothest that you will find . i believe they are based on the old high standard design but i stand to be corrected .i sold the gun to a young amish lad to hunt deer as it was short barrel and rifle sights . on the day he was to go deer hunting he proceeded to put a plastic pop bottle on a post and walk back 40 yards and blow it off the post with his first shot nuff said . as for value they can be bought for 200 dollars or less as most people know nothing about them . i believe they have a machined receiver . i would not be afraid to buy another one as i thought they were well made

I have a squires bingham 22 and I know is not a high end firearm however I wouldnt call it low end either its the most accurate 22 I ever owned I never touched the sights out of the box and the accuraccy never ceased to amaze me. One time i shot a red wing blackbird at 120-140 yards with the iron battle sights no scope maybe it was a fluke but that was almost 25 years ago and its still the most accurate rifle at close range I own.

I had a 60D model and like you said i have never had or shot a shotgun with a smoother action then it had .But part can be hard to find

I've handled a S&B shotgun and had one apart. Had a short barrel with rifle sights, not sure what model it was. Seemed to be a well made gun. I've had a few Squires and Bingham and they've all worked well as long as they were cleaned/maintained properly. As stated though parts for them are getting hard to find.

Yeah this is the one he has, short barell, and rifle sights, seemed to be well made. I think i will offer him 58$ for it. :nest:
