My grandpa recently passed me a shotgun for wall hanging, thing is still in pretty good cond. External hammers, double triggers, 12 gauge SXS. The only markings are "The LPG" and "imitation twist government tested barrel" and "choked" no specification on what choke. It was given to him in 1936 for digging a guy a drainage ditch in Manitoba. He hunted with it until 1949 and probably killed thousands of grouse, rabbits and ducks with it. Any info on its origins would be interesting.

The proof marks on the water table and barrel flats will give definitive answers as to the origin of the gun, but given the wording "imitation twist government tested barrel" I would bet that it is Belgian. Pictures of the gun and its markings would help.
