I have a winchester model 140 12g that the action is jammed solid worked fine when it went away now it won't budge any ideas?

Can you disassemble it? Remove the barrel, the trigger group?

Not sure how to remove the trigger group but I can get the barrel off

Did you give it an cleaning and oiling when you put it away? The gas pistons in these if gunked up can get sticky. If you can take the barrel off and the forend wood. You should be able to see the top of the mag tube, the slide arm sits on top and the pin in the end rides in the slot with the piston in the mag tube. Pull on the cocking handle and see if the piston will move or if it is solid. If it is solid get the penetrating oil and soak the crap out of it. If not we'll have to try something else.
