Shotgun pistol grip rubber sleeve removal

Hi, I tried removing the pistol grip rubber sleeve on a Weatherby PA-459 shotgun, but I was unable.
There does not seem to be any screw, clip, pin holding it in place. Looking at the parts list, looks like just a sleeve that is somehow pulled in place at the factory.

Anyone ever take one off (and on afterwards of course!)? This model or another with a similar grip.

Any help or ideas welcome,

I removed a very tight rubber grip sleeve by sliding a long zip tie under it then joining it into a loop (one on each side of the grip) then I used the zip ties to pull the grip off. Worked great.
