Just a late night question - Can a semi-auto shotgun be classified as a pistol? If so, with the way our laws are now, could it have a 10 round magazine tube (or anything more than 5)? As I understand it, we don't have rules about putting a stock on a pistol, so I was thinking a "pistol" Benelli M4 or Rem 1187 would be a help in a 2/3 gun match!

Uhh, from what I understand the pistol designation requires that the gun be held and fireable with one hand. Pretty sure I saw that when they were talking about getting a .50 beowulf upper and multi-cal lower classified as a pistol.

If you want more rounds, get good at speed-loading or buy a valtro pump and go nuts?

I'll be polite, and to the point... The weight of ten rounds of 12 gauge on a pistol would be crazy... along with the recoil. I don't know how accurate you need to be for 3 gun... but returning to your target would be difficult in a 12 gauge pistol... Both reasons are why 12 gauge pistols do not exists.

I just gave my new Benelli M4 to my dad, as I really had no use for it, and he will use it a lot in 3 gun. It holds 7 rounds, and adding the 8th for 3 gun won't be a problem. Being semi-auto and extremely low recoil, it will outperform any 12 gauge pump option.

Ok, I was be facetious.... Though I'm more familiar with a useless 410 shell with a .357 or .45 in a derringer.... Does anyone sell them in Canada? (Your picture) (No) Do I see a ten round magazine 12 gauge semi auto in your picture? No.

Good night
