I'm going to posting a shotgun here (in the EE) for sale as soon as I get the registration papers for it (no not my 870 Police) and I'd like to get an idea of what a fair price would be for it. It was given to me by a friend of the family who's had it for 40 years. It's a bolt-action 3 shot Stevens model 58, 20 gauge. Made by Savage Arms. Thanks in advance. It's in good condition, haven't fired it myself although the action works fine. Adjustable choke. The bluing in some places looks to be worn down. Pics will follow tomorrow.

Bolt action shotguns aren't the most popular shotgun design, as I'm sure you know. The fact that it's a 20 ga helps and the polychoke (or whatever brand of adjustable choke it has) makes it a bit more versatile. There's 2 exactly like it for sale on Gunsamerica for between $125 and $165. Usually the value here in Canada in CAN$ is similar to the value in the USA in US$.

Without the comparatives on Gunsamerica, I would have said $150 and that still looks like the ballpark.

I sold a Mossberg 12 gauge similar in general to what you've got for $130 last year.

At the shop we're clearing out all our bolt action shotguns(used) at $50 a pop.
Their wouldn't be a Browning bolt action in the mix would there? ;)

I don't want to hijack this thread as I only wanted to make poster aware of the kind of soft market there is for these around here(Sask.) Most are Mossys or Stevens/Savage, etc., some converted '98s or converted Gras, etc.
