Good day folks!

Looking for recommendations for a rugged and reliable red dot for a Beretta 1301. Want something I can run for competitive shooting but also is rugged to be used as a truck gun…I’m thinking Aimpoint ACRO C-2.

Have also been checking out the Burris Fast fire E and the holosuns.

Any reccomendations on what to look into would be great!

I took the pic rail off and mounted a vortex venom red dot on mine. Seems to work well. Had the vortex shotgun enclosed red dot been available when I bought the venom I probably would have bought that instead. Holosun 507C would be nice as well.

Mine isn’t co witnessed. I took the rail, rear sight and bead off the front. Sits nice and low and works on everything from shooting clays to shotgunning coyotes

Holosun HE508T, will fit RMR mounting options. If you don’t mind open emitter for you application the fewer lenses/glass to look thru can be a positive

Vortex shotgun red dot on an Operator, nice and low (absolute cowitness) on that platform. The multi-reticle is a nice feature for a scatter-gun that also gets fed slugs.
I'm a big fan of holosuns (515 and 530), they've held up well and the multi-reticle is nice to have.

Rugged and reliable sounds like an Aimpoint, closed emitter of some sort which boils down to a question of size.

A larger model that takes aaa I think would be a good choice, since you can get batteries basically anywhere. Otherwise t1/t2 would be a good choice.
