Shotgun reloader

Ponsness Warren Makes some great stuff. I have the LS 1000 and love it. The 800 plus is supposed to be quite good as well.

I would have tried the Dillon but I wanted to be able to do 10 Gauge and only the LS 1000 can do that.

RCBS also makes what looks like a good one. I believe both it and the Dillon have case activated powder and shot drops. That would be a really nice feature to have. Save a lot of mess.

Hull feeders will up your production rate a lot as well, I don't have one yet, but am looking to get one someday.

Ponsness Warren 800 Silver St , I bought it used and have put 50 or 60 thousand thru it and it likely loaded over a quarter mil before then , it was used by the gent that sold trap loads at our club (back in the day ) and it is still running strong ! Worth every penny that is charged !

Best would probably be a Spolar, but it would take nearly a lifetime of shooting to justify it. Ponsness Warren's are great as are Hornady 366's. MECs work, but have that Rube Goldberg look to them. I have no experience with Dillon or RCBS but each has their followers

I own two MEC Grabbers (12 and 20 ga.). IMHO you can't beat a MEC for the combination of reasonable price, quality of shell produced and excellent customer service.

You have that right. Of all the guys I know that reload 95% are using mec. I have had years I put 30,000 rounds through a 9000g with never an issue. Parts are easy to get also if need be.

Just purchased my second RCBS grand. started with a mec grabber, hated the primer feed. Tried a hornady366 and pons ness but didn't like them. Case activation of powder and shot on the grand is a great feature. As with any reloader a little mechanical ability is a great asset. Ken

From one who used to own a MEC and now a Ponsness, it is the Ponsess hands down. If you are looking to save money reloading 12 or 20 gauge, right now you will not.

I did the same thing, went from a MEC super sizer and a 650 to a PW 950. The shells don't look any different, but my production went up. I also found the PW to be easier on my arms and is more "satisfying" to run. I'm not ahead money wise reloading, but I can reload lighter loads than you can normally buy.
