shotgun rifle inserts

I have a full length insert originally made for a 12 ga. o/u shotgun... or shot gun. :) It's 26" length, machined to fit the 12 ga. chamber, and with an extractor milled into the bottom so it works off the shotgun extractor. Chambered for 45-70. It shot very well, and I ended up getting 1 1/2 inch groups easily at 100 yds with 300 gr. Hornadays at around 2200 fps.
It was awkward to shoot off a bench with the insert in the bottom bbl., so the same insert is now in an H&K 510 12 ga. falling block action that's as strong as a Ruger #1. There was a bit of machining done because of a different choke in the H&K, and instead of a perfect fit a channel was cut in the muzzle end and an "O" ring put in. Accuracy suffered, so the channel was filled with JB weld for a tight fit, and it's now quite acceptable accuracy wise. Mostly shooting 325 gr. gas checks at 1400-1800 fps now
It's been a fun project and I've had it in the new configuration for about 5 years. This post is just to show that inserts if made to fit properly etc. can be made to work very well. As for two to four inch inserts with "O" rings, some may be okay for potting grouse at 25 yds., but hunting accuracy for bigger game demands a bit more precision.

A 24" insert chambered in, say a .243win would turn my citori into a useful coyote tool. #4 buck in the top barrel, 58gr Vmax in the bottom! Wicked....
Anybody know where I can get one???
