Finally bought a saddle mount for my 870 and rifled barrel set up. What do you think is a good scope or red dot for this use and why?
I am learning towards a low power scope but open to other ideas.
Specific brands and models would be appreciated if you have experience here.

The Bushnell legend mentioned is great. I have a 4x32 Redfield on my turkey gun and love it
If low light shooting is to be expected heavier duplex reticles work much better than very fine cross hairs

How far do you plan to shoot - inside 100 yards? Do you need magnification to see your target? Can you give up (narrow) your field of view, or do you need to be aware of your surroundings. If you're shooting at short ranges, with moving targets that pop up a red dot makes more sense. If you're hunting from a tree stand, blind, or the like, a scope might be the better solution.
