Shotgun Screw in Chokes Question.

Dont forget about Mossberg 835 and 935 guns that have .775” barrels....so the spread could be much more

I did forget about that one, thanks for reminding. The Europeans found that they had trouble getting fiber wads to seal in barrels with larger ID's than .745 - .750 so they more or less settled on .732 for best consistency with various shells but plastic wads are less finicky about barrel ID than fiber wads.

0.732 is applicable to Beretta Optima 12 gauge bore diameter, and barrels for fibre wads are much more likely to be 0.723 to 0.726.

how is a physical dimension that anyone can measure proprietary secret? Its not like you can patent a thickness.

They probably didn't know themselves, besides the fact that one could not expect a reasonable answer from a company that would make a dumb-piece-of-junk shotgun like that!

Makes perfect sense from a liability standpoint. Seems obvious you want to modify the shotgun. If that is your intent, you do it based on your own measurements, and not with their complicity when it blows up.
