Shotgun sights (regular, truglow etc.)

I saw that truglow sight and was wondering what it could do for my shotgun.

Any one using them who could tell me how they work and if they work better than a regular shotgun sight. Any comments ?

I also heard about people mounting that kind of sights on shotguns.

I'm thinking of hunting goose, small game waterfowl.

With proper gun fit, gun mount and shooting, you should never even see the bead on your gun, when wingshooting.

A gun that fits you and is mounted right, should shoot pretty much where you are looking.

A good way to practice this is to pick a spot on a wall and mount your gun, while you keep looking at the spot. With a gun that fits right, the bead should be pretty much on the spot you are looking at without much adjustment.

I find them much more useful for shotguns with rifle-type sights where precise aiming in low-light conditions may be neccessary. (ie: Remington deer barrels.) I also use them on some Remington rifles I own, and they are great in low-light conditions too for my close range, open sighted bush guns.

The only caveat I have with these types of sights is that they tend to be a little on the flimsy side, and can be quite delicate and prone to breakage. (Especially if you are slipping the gun in and out of an ATV gun scabbard.)

What about a raybar front sight??? Its kind of a smaller ,simpler version of a truglow,but same ideal.
