Shotgun tubes

I am in the process of buying a 12 gauge over/under trap gun. I was thinking of also getting a set of sub gauge tubes for it. My question is do I need to modify my shotgun in any way to accommodate for the sub gauge tubes.

Mechanical triggers are a major plus when shooting the smaller sub gauges. A 410 might not reset recoil activated triggers in a heavier trap gun.
There is no modifacation I know of. Some guys use nail polish to give just enough friction that the tubes don't rotate
