Shotgun vest / chest rig thread

I don't have any kind of chest rig but I use an Olongapo Outfitters Shotgun Grab & Go bag, which is a shoulder bag that can also be clipped around your waist that holds 25 rounds in loose but more or less oriented fashion in each of its 3 compartments, and includes a separate pouch area that can hold another 50 loose rounds at least.

For more immediate access I use a Hoffner D7a 6 loop snap on belt carrier.

Thats quite the load Justin. Looks more like a duty vest than a recreational one. (?)
From what I've seen, black rifle rigs are considerably different than others. They tend to employ numerous bulky mag pouches. Very reminiscent of active combat military rigs. I'm not sure I would want that personally, unless I was protecting lives that is.
Especially seeing as restricted guns are shot at ranges where you don't move around much and gear/ammo can be piled up right next to you at your station/booth. Competition use would maybe be another need for so much stuff(?)

It depends what one may consider recreational. Tac rifle competition shooting is what I like the best. Accurate and fast, wins. This carrier was setup for a NR rifle.
This exact setup may not be something you're into, akin to yours not working for me - but the carrier is of good make, and very tough. Molle 360.

Same hobby, different flavor.

Yes I was thinking your rig was competition based Justin. It looks well used. I've seen M14 mag pouches available as well. You're likely much more well versed in this type of gear than I am. Is there varying levels of molle webbing quality? My stuff is all Condor brand, which seems good enough for my use. But I don't see it being top tier either.

You're definitely not the only one. CGN is where I discovered the OSOE shotgun rig. Awesome piece of kit.

Where are you guys buying SOE gear from?

I can't seem to find any in Canada.

Seems DS doesnt show the shotgun rig on their site. Just the AK and .308. Maybe call them and check.

Ammosupply shows out of stock.

I like! To the list it goes.

I've been looking for a nice range "rig" for my Vz58 and my many, many... many...

magazines. :)

Recommendations. I used a Chinese Type-81 rig for a bit, but I need more capacity. Something like the grab-and-go above would be nice.
