Anyone have experience with this place? I've been trying to register there for a few months, but it won't work and I can't contact the admins.

For some reason they have a thing against hotmail...oddly; no other forum I belong to does, but they do and they express it like my dad having a snit about hating technology. Ever weirder; they like gmail. Okay fine, I have one of those for people that won't work with anything else. Sometimes I visit, just to look at the four emails I've sent and received from it. But anyways;

I registered and got...nothing after two weeks.

Tried to register again and funny; my username and email are all registered, but I can't sign in.

Says to contact the mods if you have problems, but I think they mean through the forum...anyways, I find a "Contact Us" address; "info@shotgunworld.com" or something. Use that and get...nothing for about a month, except Gmail saying they wouldn't connect me or something? Tried again and ditto.

What the heck is this place? Do I have to know a current member to get in?

Problem is that they keep coming up when i'm online searching up obscure shotgun info; seems to be THE PLACE on the net to go for odd issues and questions.

Any tips?

I have nothing? Been a member there for about 9 years and never an issue. In fact I had a hotmail account when I first joined the had to switch to gmail as they did not like the problems they were experiencing with hotmail accounts. Switched over and not an issue. Definitely THE shotgun site for info on anything and everything shotgun related. There is some real true experts on there.
 
I signed up there yrs ago, and drifted away. Mailed admins to get my login / password without a response. Took me a few times to remember my login, and I was good to go. Lots of shotgun only info there, but like anywhere, a lot of blowhards too.

But I do recommend.
 
A great resource for all things shotgunning and wingshooting. Definitely worth joining.

And far, far, far less drama, blowhards and nonsense than 24hourcampfire.
 
I signed up there as a SGW member (who is CDN) had posted a full breakdown of a Cooey 84 which I was attempting at the time. Sign up was painless as I recall... Haven't been back as I was looking for specific information that I couldn't find here.
 
I'd love to join, but I've tried to apply three times, contacted admins the same number of times and I get crickets!

Gods, how I hate gmail.
 
Joined Shotgunworld years ago, and have never had any reason to contact Moderators. Hotmail has been an endless source of spam and hackers, and is banned on many other sites, and GMail is banned on others too.
Their site, their rules.
Well moderated, and thus less drama queens on Shotgunworld.
