Hello,

Well got my RPAL in the mail last week and just put a deposit on a Benelli Supernova Tactical Pistol Grip/Collapsible Stock should be grabbing it in the next couple days. I took my course back in 2009 so I'm a bit rusty on the storage requirements after I bring the firearm home. I know it has to be trigger locked but does it have to be in a hard shell case? Maybe things have changed since the long gun registry is gone.

If she is non-restricted,a triggerlock is enough.
If she is restricted she needs a trigger lock AND be locked in "a cabinet,conainer or room that is difficult to break into" OR in a gun safe.For automatic firearm additional remove bolt or bolt carrier to be locked away seperately from the gun. ...I guess,that is one of the reasons i didn't make a RPAL...

Hey CG, I think you've gone above and beyond what's required for safe storage requirements for restricted firearms. If it is being stored in a safe, there's no need to remove bolt etc and no trigger lock is required.
