Was experimenting with settings on my Shotkam Gen 4 thursday evening. These shots were captured in 6X zoom on the O/U shotgun mode as there is not an option for single shot break action shotgun . As you can see the red dot reticle is way too high on the recorded footage I think due to where the camera would be mounted on the under barrel and the reticle calibrated to compensate for the distance from the bottom barrel to the bead on the rib.
Next time I'll put it on the semi-auto setting like I do when shooting my Maxus as I think that will change the reticle position to proper alignment for my TMS.
The results I was interested in finding out by trying the different zoom settings were pretty cool to say the least though. On the 6X zoom setting and playback slowed down you can see the shot charge leave the muzzle, see the wad petals open and see the shot flying to the target. Pretty cool footage in my opinion. Can't wait to see the resulting footage next outing hunting Snow Geese.
Next trip to the club I am going to kick the zoom up to it's full 8X and check the results of the footage.

Frank, you did not state that you performed the alignment.
I've only used an earlier (3rd gen, I think) and there is a calibration function to align the virtual aim point with the physical rib.

Yes it was done but as stated in the settings I selected O/U which I think changes the height of the reticle alignment to compensate for the camera being mounted one barrel lower. We did the reticle alignment on the phone app. Its the same in the Gen 3 as the Gen 4. Monday I am going to switch the mode to semi-automatic and realign the reticle to try it again. The gun shoots flat but I don't have to blank out the target. I still see it on top of my bead when I pull the trigger and stay with it.

Wow cool video, this is the first time I’ve seen something like this.

I feel like these type of videos can help new shooters to get an idea of where to aim.

Thats some cool video. Guess I should play around more with mine. Didnt realize all the different things that can be configured. Love watching the shot flight. REALLY COOL. Ill try and find someone to read me the manual, Im good with the pictures haha

Spank...that slow-mo IS the Koolest thing I've seen for a long time ! Pretty friggen sharp ! Thanks for posting it !

I finally got to my first official trap shoot a couple weeks ago. It was Yarmouth's 200 "Trap Marathon" ...2 rounds of 100 birds. My buddy and I went after some coaxing by the Yarmouth trap gang. We absolutely loved it !
I managed 87/100 first round and 92/100 second round with my first ever 25 straight ! We're already making plans and booking rooms for the Atlantic Provinces Championships next year...LOL

Finally got the shot cam on the gun again and shot two rounds off five stand on an extremely difficult course. Was really excited when I returned home and got hooked up to the computer. Ever watched Shotkam videos with the monitor upside down? Ask me how I know and trying to slow mo or rewatch was interesting cuz it’s all backwards as well. Pretty sure my wife thinks I’m bat#### crazy. Laughing about it now but not last Sunday. Haha life’s so much fun
