Shotshell Caddies/AR mag pouches for 3gun?

Chalk, I'd appreciate if you could do that. I would get to see them all and probably come to a decision nice and quick with being able to see them all. Giddy giddy

Ahh even more shotshell holders :runaway:

I am going to watch some videos tonight on comparison videos from real people. I am not a fan of manufactures videos where they put their shooters to talk about their products.

I was gonna just buy a dump pouch to start off with but the person at my local gun store suggested I get atleast a mag holder for an ar and atleast a proper 4 shell holder.

Especially when a guy makes a second career out of falling down on a stage....consistency would defiantly be on the top of my list also! Lol,

My desire to win has no limits.
For some reason, I felt a running superman dive into sharp, dirty 3/4" gravel was the best way to go.
Reflecting on that moment, I think shooting more alphas may have been a better choice.

I try to keep my stage plans simple now.

You certainly Pauled that stage. The plan may have worked if it wasn't for gravity. Clearly you don't need to change your stage plans, just spend your time figuring how to get rid of gravity.

I used a chest rig for years. I've since ditched that and went to a belt only system. For shotgun I'm really happy with AP Customs 8 round holder, bought from CTCSupplies, 6 round side saddle on the gun and a small dump pouch for another dozen or so. For mag holders I went to Blade-Tech combos. They have one AR mag holder and 2 pistol holders attached. I have two of these. I run two 10 round LAR mags with a coupler in each. That gives me 40 rounds of .223, 50 rounds of pistol and 24-ish rounds of shotgun. I love this setup. The Blade-Tech mag holders are super fast and you can set your on retention pressure.

Sarge, thanks for offering your opinion. The more I look into it, the more I realize how many options there are. That AR mag/pistol mag holder seems pretty niffty.

Mr Sparkle, I watched that video yesterday. The guy had good things to say about each one of the items he reviewed. Theres only a few videos similar to it but it's good to atch to get a concept on each option.

Are magnetic mag pouches recommended for AR mags? I was thinking about this on the weekend and don't see why it wouldn't work.

Ah good to know. I assumed since a glock mag sticks to a magnet, maybe a metal AR mag would stick. I didn't realize they were aluminium. Thanks!

I just tested it out and my metal AR mags all stick to magnets. I gotta get a better magnet to test the plastic mags loaded to see if it works. Just an FYI

I've got one of the rifle mag + pistol combo's and I wouldn't recommend it. You end up grabbing the wrong type of magazine too often. Just simpler to run ar mags in a double pouch and pistol mags where the pistol mags separate.

I prefer the Invictus style of shell holder because they're tight enough to easily grab 4 and do quad loads, yet you can also just grab 2 if you want for a quick top up.

One more vote for blade tech 2x1 mag holders. I have been shot ting multigenerational (that's what my club calls 3gun) for about 3 years and tried a number of different holders. Always go back to blade tech on my belt .
Cheapest way to get started (that's how I go started ) is FAST. https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesal...tive_id=AS_20161006213041&SearchText=fast+mag
They do work well and if you break one or two, very cheap to replace .
