Shotting 7.62x25 TT in Glock or Beretta?

I love 7.62x25 ammo and I want to be able to use 7.62x25 ammo in a modern hand gun,
Is it possible to change the barrel in a Glock or Berreta or ... to shoot 7.62x25 ammo since the Tokarev itself is convertible to 9mm by just changing the barrel
and mag? I also Walther P38 grip too, I like to shoot 7.62x25 ammo in them as well. Is there any way to do this?

The Tok was designed to shoot the longer 7.62x25TT, so shooting the shorter 9mm does not pose a problem - but going the other way would.

Will your 9mm mags accomodate a round 1.3" long? Will your action feed it?

You can chamber it in a 1911, in fact colt even made some for euopean consumption....very few stayed over here, but I'd bet Bar-Sto or some other custom barrel maker could run you one up that would drop into any 1911 platform.....

I was thinking about 9mm mags problem, that's why I was asking, but I can live with 1911, How about the 1911 mag ? does it take 1.3" long round? I even have the Tokarev barrel and these two pistols have very similar barrel (lookwise I meant) , is it possible to modify Tokarev barrel and use it in 1911?

no, they arent close enough, you'll have to find someone to chamber one..
Hmmm, mags might take a little work, they won't feed from 45 mags, but I bet they will from 38 super mags. Anyone know what OAL for 38 super is?

Or you could make it work in a glock 21 I would guess

Mags would be the issue, anything that feeds 38 super, 10mm (i think) or 45 should be convertable to 7.62x25, but mags are what you'd need to figure out, I know colt has made them in 1911 for euro customers, and the case dia of 7.62 is close enough to 9mm to make no difference, simply a matter of getting the length into a mag...

Yes, the .38 super mags should work. The gun would need a 9mm tensioned and dimentioned extractor.

If someone is serious, perhaps give Barry at Bits and Pieces a scream and see if he would consider trying to reline a shot out 1911 barrel.

And after that, it would still probably need a lot of tweaking to get it to run right; the Tokarev round is slightly longer but thinner than the 38 Super, so the rounds would have to lay in the mag at a steeper angle and you'd have to re-form the mag lips and follower somewhat. For all the hassle involved, why not just get a Tokarev/Type 54 or a CZ-52?

I would be very interested in 7.62TT in something modern. I share bennyh's distaste for the complete lack of ergonomics on the Tokarev and CZ.
