Should Glock make other products?

Unlike most gun makers, Glock has only one single product.

They make their polymer framed handgun in several calibers, and a few different barrel lengths, but it's basically all the same gun.

Now this gun is obviously selling quite well, and the company doesn't really NEED to expand their horizons.

But I wonder how many consumers wish that Glock would get into some other product lines?

Do you think they should? If so, what else would you like to see Glock producing?

Rifles?
Shotguns?
Revolvers?
1911s?

Anything else?

It would be interesting to see glock step out and leverage their brand name in other firearm products. Maybe other types of firearms are not quite their expertise though?

Well it did take Smith @ 90 years to make a 1911 and 40 or so to make an AR so Glock still have some time left on the clock to catch up.

They could take the HK route and rebrand someone else's gear, but that can get dicey.

From what I've heard they've got issues building what they've got let alone getting into totally new lines. Wouldn't hold my breath.

What for? You could attach a Glock to anything...Glock AK, Glock AR, Glock shotgun, you name it, lol.

How about curtain rods... just kidding

I'd be surprised if they don't have a service rifle on the back burner somewhere. I doubt much will change though while Gaston is still alive.

Glock fireworks: Guaranteed kaboom, ugly packaging.

Glock phone: It's light, rectangular, and you can talk to people. Everyone complains that the power button is too stiff, but Glock engineered it that way, so you don't turn it on accidentally.

Glock boots: They don't feel right at first, but you adapt, and decide you like it better. Then someone mentions you have the left boot on your right foot, and you feel stupid.

Glock pizza: You can only choose one topping, it has a bite out of it from the tester, but the plastic box comes in several sizes.

Glock aftershave: It smells like gunpowder, and leaves black streaks, but soothes razor burn.
