Should I be wary of this deal?

Hey all.

I am not doing this to bring any negative attention to this member, but I want the gun and am very wary. Its a Glock 17 gen 3 for $495 and was just posted. I said I would take it but then looked at his feedback. He's been a member for 4 months, and all of his 6 feedback were received with the last 2-3 days by members who left the feedback the same day they joined.

What do you guys think?
Scam or not? And how do I protect myself in this situation. I've asked for a pic of the gun with his PAL/ID/registration cert....

If I am breaking any rules by posting a thread like this I'm extremely sorry.

Saw that, want it, huUuuuuge red flags...look where his trader ratings are coming from...maybe its kosher and I'm not rushing to a conclusion but...

All the guys that left feedback only had 1 or 0 TR. Reading some of the feedback left, i would run as far away as possible from this deal.

For reference, he told me it was still available 15 minutes ago (7:30 Atlantic). I'm sure someone PM'd before me, as the ad was up for atleast 20 minutes.
I would say definite scam.

Here's his reply to me asking about the trader ratings he has received this past weekend:

I don't know what to say about my feedback rating.Because they were left by people that i don't know. I just happened to sell some of collection recently.

This gun must be transferred before i can ship it to you. I will give you the reference number after the transfer.

Thanks

I told him I would take it over 15 minutes ago, but that was before I looked into his feedback... He told me the same thing that he just sold his collection.

He told me he would show me his PAL. He also said he would do COD and check.

One of the folks who left glowing feedback joined a couple of days ago, and announced in his first post that he was getting his PAL. Just about impossible to complete a transaction either buying or selling without a PAL in two days.
Sometimes if things appear to be too good to be true.....

Given that there is suspicion of fraud, I wonder if a police officer could run the numbers of the pistols through the Registry.....

There seems to be a lot of scamming lately regarding firearms. A guy at work said his son was taken for $550 for a S&W Model 52 that does not exist. It was not through this site.

I saw that and was like...damn missed that one. Then looked into it and said damn, glad I'm not the guy that agreed to buy it lol
