Should I Buy Something Before A Possible......

hell, buy a gun BECAUSE you are scared the Govt. will take it away! get a really expensive one and when they offer you "fair market value" , refuse on the basis that it is NOT fair market value. If we all do this it should hold the show up nicely. If and when you do turn in your gun, strip it bare, smash it up, and toss 'em that ratty hunk of mangled metal with a serial number...

Buy it now ! Fzck them and their pinko, bleeding heart ideas. Then come out and join our competitions while we can still shoot our restricted bangsticks. ;)

I bought a K100 handgun from Marstar on Friday as my way of saying, well the mods won't like if I say what I was saying.

Resisting is good, but don't forget they will threaten to tear your house apart looking for the other parts of the gun if you don't turn it all in. some cops make good punks.

If we transfered all our guns back and forth, without sending anything, we can have an effect , put a bunch of errors into the paper work. And after a few months it should be pretty messed up. They won't be able to start charging because of the statement made on fees.
The end result would be some folks having sold to other folks that moved , and whatever else we can come up with.
After all 10 years of info on Restricted firearms has been lost , so you may not even get contacted.

Hand them the stripped receiver and tell them to get f$cked
Don't shoot the messenge here, I would re word it to the effect of passing on this nasty message to Mr. Martin , after all he is the one that wants to make money in power by screwing the public.

I don't think Alberta will ever willingly enforce confiscation and I'm hoping my home province of Newfoundland won't either...if they do, I'll be moving permanently to Alberta...should the worse happen and even Alberta caves...I'll be heading south...permanently, and then Canada can kiss my A$$! I will NEVER surrender my firearms, no "if", "and" or "but" about it!

It friggin' rots me that "our" government can turn around and treat its law-abiding citizens, even individuals who have served and/or are currently serving in the military, worse than the POS gang-bangers, "posses" & "tongs" that are happily killing each other in our big cities over drug territory and "market share."

Instead, we are made into criminals, though legislation, and have our property rights and right to privacy stipped from us, - while the dregs of Canada's drug culture run free as birds, shooting the hell out of anything that moves, with their unregistered, illegal, smuggled (from the USA) Glocks & TEC-9s? It's official! The G*d*amn lunatics are now running the asylum that we call Canada!

What will the liberals say when the criminals still have handguns? Exactly. Can we have our guns back now!

Thanx for the referrals about a place to get a decent price on one.

I think that I will avoid this forum, from now on. Allot of productive posts ocurr here......

My response was the most accurate one your going to get. Come one man, open your eyes and go to the Buy and Sell section (especially for Black Rifles) on this board. The best prices for anything are generally owner-to-owner because we don't have overheads to cover like retailers and are enthusiasts and generally put stuff up when we need the cash so we price to sell.

You can buy unrestricted hunting rifles anywhere they sell hunting rifles, period.

For instance, other than that there are your typical retail haunts for used guns like Ellwood Epps, Wolf's Den, Giovannis, etc, but you're not going to find black rifles at your local LeBarons. Face it, black rifles and the like are anti-soccer momish and you'll find few retailers selling them, except possibly in the used section and generally hiding in the back. The 3 retailers I mention because I've personally seen ARs there and they typically range from $1200 to $3500 CAD.

I'm starting to wonder if we could get the insurance companies in a bind. If they try to take our guns, could we make a claim on our insurance? Theft? Can we work this angle?
