Trying to make a decision. Took a 20rd thru it m305 on trade. Synthetic stock 22 inch barrel. In middle of ar build and another starting immediately after. Or maybe it has already.....shhh..anyway I know stocks and tuning and parts etc are usually required. It would be my only gun in this calibre.

The reason for the question is because I absolutely hate selling anything but is this a staple i should keep in the safe? I don't need to sell it but also can't see it getting a lot of love. It would justkeep the other lonely ones company. Normally it wouldn't be a question but because it's a norinco and because it's something I wasn't really looking for but now have is it worth keeping for a rainy day?

I have never sold a gun. Only trades. I need another to ease the pain lol

Because I am old, I am getting to the point where I see little value in having a gun I don't feel a lot of love for and want to shoot a bunch. To me, this is wisdom.

I'd advise you to shoot it a little and see if your feelings change. The M305 is a fun rifle [I have 3, but may be selling one off, if I can decide which one], but if you don't feel the thrill, maybe trade it off for something you will enjoy more.

I tell; you listen. Norinco M14 great rifle of people. Made from forgings unlike Springfield Armory garbage makers of floor sweepings and filings.

Forget AR silly gun of rodent cartridge. Be different from dumb hicks at range having giant pickup trucks and low IQ.

Keep Norinco M14 adding capitalist bolt TRW and Amerikanski flame hidener.

You need one if not two or more or "yer #### will fall off"

Well I definitely don't want that. OK so now based on this I guess I'll get a shorty too. I wouldn't have asked the question if my trade was for an 18. I'd already be playing Lego with it. Cheapy guns Cheapy ammo I do like multiple copies so you can loan one out and go shoot with friends and converts lol. Couple of these and a couple sks and you have party. Thanks

Should I scope it or just blast open? I have other things with all types of optics. Both sks are bare maybe this a good iron gun too? I'm probably not going to spend a ton on accurizing and I hate to buy junk so I don't know if I can justify the expense of a scope. If I left it unmolested with just op rod guide swap maybe a 3-9x?

You know you want to keep it. Sometime you get bored of the range and you want to shoot in the open field. The M305 is a great gun for that. Just don't put too many money on it and keep it simple. Do the basic mods, keep the iron sights and enjoy it. It's like a SKS... you don't really need one but you need to have one.

I want to keep everything. Then get more. I was hoping a bunch of you would tell me it's junk and get rid of it and now I might get another one Haha. No seriously I get what you are all saying and yes sometimes it's nice to leave the ones with all the applicable ridiculous rules attached at home and go shoot in the woods

They are one of the softest shooting semi .308's I've owned. Headpace is usually quite large but won't cause any issues if you only shoot factory brass, or load brass 2-3 times then discard. Steel case ammo has shown to cause head separation in some rifles.
Mine doesn't get shot a bunch, but it definitely is fun when I do bring it.

What do you want in its place? Tough question, but think hard, because once it's gone, it's gone.

Nothing in particular. Anything I'd want would be me adding cash and even though I do like trading it's hard to trade for specific parts so I'd just use cash and buy parts. It's fully functioning, 2 mags, semi, centrefire non restricted. I think you guys have done a good job in convincing me to keep it. Plus I'll be adding a 308 bolt soon

Federal white box 7.62x51 from bass is only thing it's seen so far. Not set up for reloading as yet just moved but will be

Ask yourself how much money you have tied up in this one rifle. Is it making a difference between what you are doing right now and what you would be doing if you had another $300 or $400?

If you need the $$$ to complete your build, sell it. If not, shoot it.

I'm gonna shoot it. The amount it would bring wouldn't complete my build so I don't think I'll rid myself of a rifle everyone tells me to keep just so I can buy a handguard some more mags lol.

Might as well keep it. One can assume the libtards/queen cowboys will want to ban em. Well good luck finding them.

If it's a good one, passes all the tests, properly index'd barrel, good headspace, you hold on to that rifle for dear life.
