Should I drill & tap my BSA CFT so that I can use rings other than the crappy Puker-Hales?

Serial number is under 400! I'm told they didn't make a whole lot of these things...

Help please...

You're referring to the integral dovetail on the receiver, set up for PH rings? There are other makes of rings which will engage this dovetail. B Square markets the all steel Lynx brand rings available from Brownells. For the BSA, 1", low, medium and high, 30mm, medium and high. Prices range from $39.95 to $44.95. With the change in export rules, Brownells can mail them without an export licence. That's not much more than it would cost to have a fairly rare rifle drilled and tapped.

Yes, the integral dovetail on the receiver.

Thanks, I thought I was stuck with the crappy alloy P&H rings...

You don't see these CFTs very often. Numrich was selling their stocks (cheap) for a while, don't know if they have any left. Do you have the iron sights for it?

Yes, I have iron sights. They may be Wilkes? But I may be mistaken as I know my Whitington has Wilkes sights.

I guess I have to find the bag & see what they are.

I would be interested in a replacement stock as mine has been glued in.

I've seen a number of CF2s, but I've never seen another CFT.
