Several months ago I set out looking for an ambidextrous semi as I am a lefty.
I arrived at the M&P40 range & carry kit. Great gun, shot it a bit and went thru a few boxes. Then I went out and purchased a 9mm barrel and magazine, a lefty holster, a Velcro-belt, and another set of back straps in Dark Earth colour (because I liked them!) I was figuring maybe I'd try out the IPSC thing. I really like the tough finish on the gun and it still looks brand new (I baby my guns).
I do realize that I many eyes the M&P is as good, or better than most other semis out there, including Berettas.
Lately, I've been looking at the Beretta 92fs. I love the lines of the pistol, the heft, and the heritage. Everything I've read says it is a solid pistol......and I want one.
Is it worth trading one platform for the other? (don't say "have both", as I have others to fill the poly gap)
Thanks. -Karl
