Should I sell my Sig to get a Glock?

I would really like a gen4 Glock 23. I already have a gen4 G22 and like it a lot and an awesome G29SF that I have listed for sale to fund the G23 purchase (when it comes down for it I think I'd rather have the G23). But I'm thinking maybe I should keep the 10mm and sell my Sig instead. It's a 9mm 2 Tone P226 w/o a rail - beautiful gun! I've owned 2 other P226's and a P220 before and this is only Sig I have right now and I don't know how I feel about letting it go.

I considered selling my other guns but they either have some sentimental value, I won't get enough for them to cover half the cost of the G23 or it was a gift from my GF (and apparently I'm not allowed to sell it )

Why not sell the G22 and get a 40 cal barrel for the 29?
Because I prefer gen4 over 3.5...40 barrel would still be nice tho.

Sig is 9mm (edited the post to add it)

should have sold me that np-34! lol
I didn't even get it yet! :p and it falls into 'wont make a dent in the price of a new gun' category lol

this is a joke right? seriously you're considering a Glock over a sig?
dont get into the habbit of buying and selling cars... just my 2 cents

Never sell a gun. After that realization, buy another one. If you have a family of Glocks, buy another one. If you have one SIG, sell it and be done with it. Buy a Glock 23 from Sporteque, there are some used ones there, save some money...

If you have to sell in order to buy, it sounds like you have more than on Glock, I'd sell one of the Glocks to get the model you prefer... the 10mm is awesome round, but pricey and the .40 would be all around better round to shoot..
and the sigs are great guns and if only have one of thouse now, keep it.
I find better to have various calibres, but also in various gun brands....
I wouldn't want to have 3 chevy corvettes, and each with different motors... rather have a vette, stang, charger, etc... with various motors...

I'm considering to sell my Sig 226 Elite Stainless now that I have the Glock 22 Gen4. Like the OP the glock gen4 (large backstrap) seems to fit me better.

Sig's bore axis is a bit further from the grip compared to the Glock, so I can actually get the glock back on target faster than the Sig.

My policy is that I sell anything I don't use regularly unless it has some sort of unique sentimental value for me.

If you aren't particularly enjoying the Sig, sell it and get something you're going to use and enjoy.

x2, if you use the sig alot dont sell it. If not throw it on the chopping block and buy the glock you will use. That is exactly what I just did but cant decided on what gen or cal i want my glock in.

Glock is a very nice gun "but there will be a learning curve on the trigger"

You should be able to shoot about just as good with the Glock "if you practice alot"

glock's don't compare to sigs

... as far as I'm concerned. Sig accuracy and build quality are far superior !

On older SIGs yes, the newer ones, no. Regardless, there is nothing wrong with the quality and construction of a Glock. The difference between the two has more to do with features and ease of operation. In that regard, Glock wins.
