Should I sell my Sig to get a Glock?

Meh, I sold a 9mm Sig 220 to finance a G17. It wasn't about what was a "better" quality handgun or brand name but, for me, I found the G17 easier to shoot quickly and accurately over the 9mm Sig 220. This was a few years ago and I don't have any 'regrets'. FWIW, the only handgun I won't sell is my first handgun, a S&W 686 Classic Hunter, other than that the least used ones get "moved along" when I need the money. YMMV.....

I would really like a gen4 Glock 23. I already have a gen4 G22 and like it a lot and an awesome G29SF that I have listed for sale to fund the G23 purchase (when it comes down for it I think I'd rather have the G23). But I'm thinking maybe I should keep the 10mm and sell my Sig instead. It's a 9mm 2 Tone P226 w/o a rail - beautiful gun! I've owned 2 other P226's and a P220 before and this is only Sig I have right now and I don't know how I feel about letting it go.

I considered selling my other guns but they either have some sentimental value, I won't get enough for them to cover half the cost of the G23 or it was a gift from my GF (and apparently I'm not allowed to sell it )

You have been buy and sell several Sig, clearly Sig is not your gun of choice.

If you want a Glock then go for it. I like some of my guns more than others and it is easy to get attached, but it's just a gun and can be replaced. I like my Glock, but I also enjoy shooting my buddy's Sig and so does he. Both are good guns but my choice is the Glock only cause I own one and I am more comfy with it. Good luck.

this is a joke right? seriously you're considering a Glock over a sig?
dont get into the habbit of buying and selling cars... just my 2 cents

Trading a Sig for a Glock would be like trading a mercedes for a Civic. Nothing against glocks but they are not a SIG.

love my 10 mm glock would not get rid of it.i sold my sigs and do not feel bad about it.i kick myself for selling my 31c though

NO...keep the Sig...if you really want the Glock then save up for it and get it that way. Sig for Glock? Makes me shiver...

I say go for it, deep down you already know you will:)
I own a couple of p226"s , love em and would never trade them for a glock or any other pistol. I just dig them, that's just me. The whole hobby is about enjoyment, get the one that makes you grin and don't look back. They make Glocks and Sigs everyday and if you change your mind then get then replace it.

my first reaction is NO NO NO!!! why down grade? but if you are tired of your Sig (and ya, that actually does happen, you are not alone), then first find a good buyer (re: fair offer), let it go (you will regret it, but what the hell, you can always buy another), then pick one of many models of Glock that are available...try out a few before you buy, if you can, that will help, and then get yourself a fine Austrian made polymer gun and blast away!!
Then when you get tired of the Glock, you can start the entire process over again in reverse!! I find Glocks are like Southern Comfort; after a major bender you never want to smell the stuff again, but give it a year or two, and you will find yourself ordering a shot of SC with a beer...wow, my first gun/booze analogy!! :onCrack:

"Should I sell my Sig to get a Glock?"

You shouldn't sell any gun to get another gun, if there is an easier/better way to get the money. Don't you have anything else you aren't using that you can sell? Still got that second kidney? Got two kids?
