Looks normal to me - actually nicer than some other Tikka 22 chambers I've seen. That little chamfer is for feeding. Without it, lead would get shaved off the bullet when you strip a round out of the mag.Just got this brand new T1X in the mail. I noticed the chamber has a weird looking bare metal, uneven chamfer/cut on it. Is this normal or should I return it?
People panic at absolutely nothing these days. Yes, it looks brand new, what you see as unevenness is a bit of lead in added at the factory to facilitate ease of feeding; call it a feed-ramp if that helps understand. a sharp bottom edge on a chamber can damage a bullet or even cause a mis-feed.Just got this brand new T1X in the mail.
