Should we consider improved cartridges true wildcats?

What did PO Ackley call them?

In 1966/67 I was in attendance at Gunsmithing school in Trinidad, Colorado being taught by Bill Prator who worked with Ackley when P.O. was set up in Trinidad.

We were taught wildcats had to have brass made for them as no factory ammo would chamber... and that factory ammo would always chamber in an improved chamber. And SAMMI specs or pressures were not mentioned.

That's such a simple concept.

But it matters not what they are called... today there are "Winnies", Remies", Shotties", etc. Call what ever you have what ever you want.

WHAT CARTRIDGES HAVE BEEN IMPROVED?

7x57 Is the original 'IMPROVED CARTRIDGE'.... right out of the box. Perfect.

As to 'DANGEROUS GAME', nobody has really improved on either the .470NE or the .375H&H.
