Should we whip those, who post SKS in the hunting FS forum?

Well, I'm already irritated beyond belief with trying to sort the milsurp from the other crap in "hunting and sporting arms"...
Now, now, Ollie, firearms owners are already under enough heat as a whole without us having to infight and call other firearms owners chosen fields as crap. I'm feeling a little put down that some of my milsurps are not considered "cool" enough to be in with the military guns. I'll take a gun with history any day over one of the many "madeforgunnutz" guns.
Live and let live (unless your a hunter). I'm glad my suggestion for a milsurp forum is being considered. It would be great to have one stop shopping for the true milsurps. With the milsurps now buried in the hunting rifles section, it's one more section we have to navigate through; as if we don't spend enough time on the computer already each day.

Well if military surplus is to be sold in the Hunting section, in truth this must include M14's, M16's (not AR's), AK47's, FNC1's FNC2's and such, as if you own one of these "real" rifles, the were sold as "military suplus", just as were the M1 Garand, M1 Carbine, Lee Enfields, K98's, Mosin Nagants, SKS and such. And we're told to sell these in the hunting section as well!!!!

I thinks the EE should have a section each for Hunting rifles, Military rifles and that's it ( well, plus the handgun and other stuff sections). But I think it would also be nice to have a section just for Prohib guns, as I can never buy one, and don't need to waste my time checking their adds out, and maybe a section for Antiques... But now I'm getting carried away.... :D

I think that the owner of this web site knows what they want, although it does not make much sense from my point of view. To make everyone's life easier, there should be hunting, military, optics, electronics, ammo, edged, parts and everything else exchange forums. We have too few and all we get is a mess. Impossible to concentrate on what I am looking for, have to sift thru tons of poorly titled ads all over the place. This is an 'if I were you' post that does not pretend to be ultimate truth. Whatever floats your boat.

Actually, the Lee Enfields in various forms still ARE battle rifles, on issue to several nation's armed forces...

Unlike that dainty little M-14, which is only used as a prettied-up sniper platform now, with Gucci bits and a rigorous maintenance schedule....

;)

I too would vote for a seperate Milsurp Exchange forum, if anyone who had the power in administration there really cared what I had to say!

My sincere thanks to all who made the "milsurp" EE a reality! Awesome! No more sorting through crap(;))! Jokes! I love anything that goes bang!
