As the title says this is a shout out to Jerry at Mystic Precision. After many emails and questions on my part, I took Jerry's advice and ordered a Sightron S111 LRMOA scope in 14-32 56mm. Being a new shooter I was relying on Jerry's experience and professionalism to steer me right. Last weekend the &*(@^&*#%@^% that I have to thank for getting me interested in long range shooting (thanks Ray) had us set up to head to our home range at Rocky Mountain House to mount the scope on my Rem 700 sps varmint 308 and sight in.
We live just out side of Edmonton and after the long drive discovered the range to be closed for upgrades due to an impending Federal inspection (again thanks Ray). We headed back to Wetaskiwin where I live and set up at my son in law's quarter section and proceeded. WHAT A SCOPE! The clarity of the glass is on par with any other high end scope I have had the opportunity to look through. Sighted in at 100m in 2 shots and moved out to 200m and sighted in in 3 shots.
Jerry definitely knows his stuff and I would always listen carefully to his opinions. What I like best about Jerry is that he asks the important questions to best understand what it is the customer believes he needs and to determine what he really needs. No pushy sales tactics here just another shooting enthusiast with a ton of experience who cares to see others get the best that they can within their means and enjoy the sport.
